Thom Yorke was born on October 7th, 1968 in Wellingborough, England. He grew up in Oxfordshire and attended public school at Abingdon School where he met the future members of Radiohead. Yorke studied Arts and English Literature at the University of Exeter but dropped out before completing his degree to pursue music full-time. He formed Radiohead in 1985 with his schoolmates and the band became globally recognized for their alternative rock sound and experimental style. Yorke has also released several solo albums and collaborated with various artists throughout his career. He is known for his distinctive falsetto vocals and politically charged lyrics.
